The VNUHCM–US Stem Cell Institute (VNUHCM-US SCI) is a scientific and technological institute affiliated with the University of Science, Viet Nam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.

Leadership
Phan Kim Ngoc – Scientific Advisor
In 2007, with investment from the Government, he founded and managed the Stem Cell Research and Applications Laboratory – the predecessor of the VNUHCM-US Stem Cell Institute – at the University of Science, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City.
He is an icon of perseverance and aspiration, a great teacher in Viet Nam’s stem cell community.
Assoc. Prof. Pham Van Phuc, PhD – Director
He is currently an Associate Professor of Biology at the University of Science, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam.
Since 2017, he and his colleagues have established the VNUHCM-US Stem Cell Institute – a multi-disciplinary stem cell center in Viet Nam.
As a pioneering scientist in stem cell research and applications, and as the director of the Institute, his goal is to make stem cell technology accessible to everyone in society and to build a network of individuals and organizations interested in stem cells.
