{"id":41,"date":"2025-10-19T16:27:58","date_gmt":"2025-10-19T16:27:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sci.edu.vn\/home\/en\/?page_id=41"},"modified":"2025-11-02T08:52:31","modified_gmt":"2025-11-02T08:52:31","slug":"who-we-are","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sci.edu.vn\/home\/en\/about\/who-we-are\/","title":{"rendered":"Who We Are"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>VNUHCM\u2013US Stem Cell Institute<\/strong> <strong>(VNUHCM-US SCI)<\/strong> is a scientific and technological institute affiliated with the <strong>University of Science, Viet Nam National University, Ho Chi Minh City<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our origin dates back to <strong>2007<\/strong>, when the <strong>Stem Cell Research and Application Laboratory<\/strong> was founded as <strong>one of Viet Nam\u2019s first dedicated stem cell research centers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On <strong>June 12, 2017<\/strong>, the Laboratory evolved into the <strong>VNUHCM\u2013US Stem Cell Institute<\/strong>, a Category-1 autonomous institute with its own seal, bank account, and license to operate in science and technology granted by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To unify resources and strengthen research capacity, on <strong>January 24, 2025<\/strong>, the President of VNUHCM\u2013US signed Decision No. 211\/Q\u0110-KHTN, merging the Laboratory into the Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since February 1, 2025, VNUHCM\u2013US has maintained one unified entity for stem cell research and application \u2014 the VNUHCM\u2013US Stem Cell Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, we are Viet Nam\u2019s leading center for stem cell research, technology transfer, and innovation, advancing regenerative medicine through scientific excellence, collaboration, and integrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Institute name in Vietnamese:<\/strong> Vi\u1ec7n T\u1ebf b\u00e0o g\u1ed1c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Institute name in English:<\/strong> VNUHCM-US Stem Cell Institute (VNUHCM-US SCI)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Address:<\/strong> VNUHCM-US Stem Cell Institute, University of Science, Viet Nam National University, Ho Chi Minh City<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Office phone:<\/strong> +84 28 3636 1206<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Contact email:<\/strong> <a href=\"mailto:contact@sci.edu.vn\">contact@sci.edu.vn<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The VNUHCM\u2013US Stem Cell Institute (VNUHCM-US SCI) is a scientific and technological institute affiliated with the University of Science, Viet Nam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.
