To meet the requirements for implementing in-depth research orientations, key science and technology programs, and domestic and international collaborative research projects in the fields of cell biology, stem cell biology, and molecular biology, the VNUHCM-US Stem Cell Institute (hereinafter referred to as the “Institute”), University of Science, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), hereby announces its plan to recruit full-time research personnel as follows:

II. JOB DESCRIPTION AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Researcher Position – Doctoral Degree
- Directly lead or participate in the implementation of state-level, ministerial-level, and VNU-HCM-level scientific research projects, as well as the Institute’s international collaborative research projects.
- Design advanced experimental models; master procedures for isolation, culture, and quality assessment of stem cells or biological products; and analyze molecular mechanisms.
- Prepare periodic scientific reports and project completion reports; draft high- quality scientific manuscripts for publication in reputable international journals indexed in Scopus/Web of Science (WoS) and participate in intellectual property/patent registration and protection.
- Support the management and operation of specialized laboratory equipment and systems; provide technical guidance and training to graduate students, PhD candidates, and research assistants within the group.
- Participate in scientific workshops and seminars and expand academic collaboration networks.
- Researcher Position – Master’s Degree
- Directly perform and implement cell culture, molecular biology, immunology, and cell function assessment experiments according to assigned research plans.
- Monitor and maintain experiment logs; collect and process experimental data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Participate in data compilation, prepare technical reports, and support the drafting of scientific manuscripts for international publication.
- Coordinate laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration and strictly comply with biosafety regulations.
III. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Education and field of specialization: A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Cell Biology, Stem Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, or other related life science fields.
- Age: Under 45 years of age (as of the application submission date).
- Scientific publication record (mandatory criterion): Applicants must have at least three (03) scientific papers as first author published in international journals indexed in Scopus or Web of Science (WoS).
- Foreign language proficiency: Proficient in English, with all four skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing); able to read and understand specialized literature, write scientific papers, and present/communicate confidently in academic settings.
- Personal qualities and skills
- Passion for scientific research, a strong sense of responsibility, high discipline, and independent research thinking.
- Good teamwork and problem-solving skills and the ability to work under high pressure in an advanced research environment.
